HPC® Intermediate (HPCI)
Revolutionising Heat Control for Surfaces up to 538°C.
DESCRIPTION
HPC Intermediate Coating is designed to control heat transfer on surface temperatures between 400°F (204°C) up to 1000°F (538°C). It is waterborne and has an extremely thick appearance. HPC coating uses a special acrylic silicone resin blend with specific ceramic compounds added to provide a non-conductive barrier against heat transfer. HPCI offers a green, non-flammable, and non-toxic formula for high-heat surface applications, suitable for standard to super steam parts or even wall construction. HPCI coating is easily applied using a texture sprayer and can be applied over metal, concrete, wood, and other substrates. HPCI can also be applied over and adhere to flat steel surfaces.

TYPICAL USES
- As an insulation system over hot pipes, tanks, and valves.
- To block heat loss from surfaces above ambient or operational temperatures on lines and valves.
- As a system to block conductive and convective heat.
- Easily applied when a hot system cannot be shut down.
- Can be applied over steel, concrete, and other building materials.
APPLICATION METHODS
- HPCI can be applied for temperatures ranging between 400°F (204°C) to 1000°F (538°C). Follow manufacturer’s instructions for proper application.
- Note: Applications above 400.50°F or 230°C may darken resins next to hot surfaces, but functionality remains intact.
- HPCI application is suitable for metal and various hot surfaces, applied using a texture sprayer. Refer to the SPR Application Instruction sheet for specifics on preparation, mixing, and application.
- For outdoor surfaces, drying HPCI completely before applying a topcoat is essential.
- Multi-Mesh Membrane: Use when continuous cycles or worker impacts may occur, applying it between HPCI layers.
- Note: Surface temperature approximately 210°F (99°C) can withstand cycles from 1000°F (538°C) to ambient and back without affecting adhesion.
