Project Description: Petrochemical Super Therm Application
The intention was to test a Petrochemical Super Therm Application – in comparison to normal white paints on gas pipes, that are not allowed to become warm in order, to avoid build-up of pressure.
Currently, in warm weather conditions it could be necessary to cool off the installation with water (see sprinkler installations in the pictures).
Coating Solution for Petrochemical Super Therm Application
Rust Grip® was used as a primer on this application (corrosion management).
The Petrochemical Super Therm Application included 2 layers to block heat from loading (heat load blocking).
Finished off with Enamo Grip White to give extra protection in this industrial environment (protective topcoat).
Product Overview on Application:
Rust Grip® is our leading corrosion coating that eliminates 60% of project costs by avoiding the need to grit blast or dispose of hazardous waste (including asbestos).
Super Therm® is our solar heat blocking product that blocks 95% of solar heat load irrespective if the coating is clean or becomes dirty, it physically lacks the density to load and hold heat. Whether it is a building (roof), tanks, piping, containers or portable offices, if Solar Heat is an issue, Super ThermⓇ will stop the heat from loading all together taking a proactive approach to heat load and heat transfer.
Enamo Grip is a self-levelling application with a even & smooth finish that forms a uniquely hard and durable coating film. This coating demonstrates unsurpassed semi-gloss and color retention, as well as chalk resistance when used in exterior applications. It is resistant to water and humidity, stains, acids, solvents, and chemicals, as well as having tremendous scuff, mar and impact resistance.
